3. Experiment on 1d Anderson localization with cold atoms

Presentations » 3. Experiment on 1d Anderson localization with cold atoms

Taken by Dariusz Wiater

In 2008, the 1d Anderson localization of a cold atomic cloud in a disordered potential was observed for the first time. There are two papers to read:

  • The experimental paper in Nature.
  • The accompanying theoretical paper in Phys. Rev. Lett. Not everything is useful for the interpretation fo the experimental results.
